Integrated classes

Nearly all TVHS courses are integrated in an effort to challenge students to better understand how what they learn is applied to the real world.

"Whenever possible, classes at Tech Valley High are integrated because we believe students who learn to make connections across disciplines are better able to acquire 21st century skills," said Counselor Dean Walker. "The world is not divided up into classes, nor is the workforce. Students who are successful when they enter the workforce, understand how to integrate what they have learned to solve 'real world' problems."

Below is an overview of the integrated courses offered at TVHS:

  • Bioengineering combines biology and engineering.

  • Global humanities combines English 10 and global history 10.

  • Inventing America combines English 11 and U.S. history.

  • E3Q combines economics and participation in government.
