The Tech Valley School Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Darcy A. Czajka of Schenectady and Michael Bellini of Albany to its Board of Directors. They will fill the vacancies created by the departure of former board members John Cavalier and Eileen Lindburg.
“Ms. Czajka and Mr. Bellini are welcome additions to the Tech Valley School Foundation Board of Directors,” chairman Dale Thuillez of Thuillez Ford Gold, Butler & Monroe, LLC, said. “This board will be well served in its mission of supporting Tech Valley High School by Ms. Czajka’s illustrious experience in higher education and community engagement, and Mr. Bellini’s extensive knowledge of information technology and private sector business.”
The foundation is a valued partner of Tech Valley High School, soliciting financial support to ensure that TVHS students have necessary classroom resources for studies in an advanced STEM-focused and project-based education. Members also advocate for the school and help connect students with businesses and higher education institutions throughout the Capital Region to provide authentic professional experiences both on-site and in the classroom.
Czajka is the senior director of community engagement at the American Cancer Society’s Eastern Division in Latham. She also has extensive experience working in higher education, having previously served in high level positions at George Washington University, Cambridge College, and Union College. Czajka holds a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a bachelor’s degree from Union College.
Bellini is director of sales for IntegraOptics in Latham. He previously held similar positions at Windstream Communications, Verizon and GE Energy and holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University.
