Camp Innovation 2024 – Climate Challenge and Drone Driven

The week of July 15-19, Tech Valley HS welcomed 25 campers from across the Capital Region for Camp Innovation 2024 – Climate Challenge. Thank you to our partners from WMHT, TEL, Global Foundries, UAlbany, Five Rivers, and Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs for supporting our camp activities this week! Campers developed projects that solved climate issues in the area of air quality, water quality, flora & fauna sustainability, and land use.

The week of July 22-26, 45 campers attended Camp Innovation 2024 – Drone Driven. Throughout the week, campers participated in drone challenges and developed projects that incorporated an innovative use of drones in the category of Land and Agriculture, Safety and Security, Business, and Arts and Recreation. Thank you to our partners who helped to support our camp this year. Clarkson University provided the drone arena and drones for student use. Other partners included: UAlbany, East Greenbush PD, NYS Department of Agriculture, Sky Photos, Watervliet Arsenal, WMHT, TEL, and Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs.
