Tech Valley High School Students
Students from 39 school districts across seven
Capital Region and Hudson Valley counties attend Tech Valley High
School. They take classes that teach 21st Century learning skills
through project-based learning.
Students learn in groups and through real-life scenarios and
projects the value of what they are being taught. Student
achievement is judged through a rubric that takes into consideration
21st Century
Skills, such as:
Initiative
Team work
Individual responsibility
Communication
Confronting and solving unforeseen problems
While the sciences and technology are a major
factor in the daily life of Tech Valley students, the students are
both encouraged and required to be well-rounded if they are to
succeed at TVHS.
Students take part in the arts, create and edit videos, participate
in theatrics and can take part in focused-interest groups such as
guitar playing and percussion.
