TVHS wins two national communication awards
For the third time in as many years, Tech Valley High School has earned national recognition for its communication efforts.
The school will receive this month two awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). NSPRA is honoring TVHS with an award of merit for the school's website and an award of merit for the Tech Valley High School This Week e-news publication. The awards are the second highest honors the association bestows on schools and school communication personnel.
The enews is distributed weekly during the school year to more than 1,000 supporters, educators and parents of students at TVHS. Anyone interested in receiving future editions of the e-news should email Tech Valley High School Communications Coordinator Mike McCagg at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The awards will be officially presented in mid-July at the organization's national conference in Chicago.
TVHS previously received national awards for its print newsletter, recruiting brochure and e-news and the school has previously won numerous New York State School Public Relations Association awards for its print and online communication efforts.
McCagg, in conjunction with his colleagues at Capital Region BOCES Communications Service, produce all of Tech Valley High School’s communications products.
