New freshmen to gather
New Tech Valley High School freshmen will gather on July 25 to meet each other and learn more about the unique regional public high school.
The event - which includes parents - will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the high school, which is located at the University at Albany East Campus in East Greenbush.
The mid-summer gathering is designed be a get-to-know session for the students and parents who hail from seven counties from across the Capital Region. It also served as an orientation meeting and opportunity for students to ask about their first official project as TVHS students - to interview a pair of business leaders.
"The idea of the event is to allow parents and students to meet one and another, talk with teachers, reconnect with those they have already met, and ask questions," said Principal Dan Liebert.
