Student video to air on WMHT
A video created by a TVHS junior will air on WMHT this summer.
The video by Hunter Dimin, titled Personal Democracy, will on the WMHT TV show TV/Film during one of its weekly episodes. The show airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. according to the public broadcasting station's website. Which week the movie will air is not clear.
Dimin, a junior from Averill Park, said the video is an adaptation of the short story “Franchise” by Issac Asimov and discusses how powerful groups have unjustified influence on elections in the 21st century.
The video has also been entered into area film festivals.
Dimin, who frequently shoots videos at TVHS and elsewhere, is intrigued by the movie-making process.
That is why he chose creating a video to be part of his J-Term research.
J-Terms are designed to enable individual interaction between students and area professionals that help students gain a realistic understanding of an industry or field of study that is practiced in our region. The projects take between a week and three weeks for students to complete and involve dozens of area professionals.
