Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District

Post-graduation plans:

What are the most important things that you will take from TVHS into your next steps as an adult?
Communication skills, and being able to interact with business people to form professional relationships. It will be beneficial because it will help me to earn jobs or internships.

What were the highlights of your experience at TVHS?
It’s been cool to direct two plays. At other schools, the play director is generally a paid teacher. Directing the play was an awesome way to develop leadership skills and work with students across all grade levels.

I also enjoyed taking interesting classes with different perspectives that question our everyday lives, and allow us to take a step back and look at the big picture. In our Inventing America class, we questioned history textbooks and created our own, more honest versions of American history.

Any advice for underclassmen?
Keep pushing, but don’t push too hard. Know your limits.

What are your favorite memories of Tech Valley High?
Our Anthropology class was an awesome space where we had some really cool conversations. Field Days have been cool to see everyone spirited. And I have fond memories of the school plays.

Why did you Choose to attend Tech Valley high?
I thought I would enjoy the learning style, because it was never easy for me to learn from textbooks. It was beneficial for me because our teachers can adapt to our learning styles and what we need. I would not have changed it.

If you could thank your home district for giving you the opportunity to attend TVHS, what would you say?

I would thank them for sending two kids who really wanted it, because they normally only send one a year. Thanks for continuing to send kids and not shutting me out.

Senior Share:
I love to cook and bake and decorate cakes. My favorite thing to cook is tacos because you can put anything into a taco. My mother went to culinary school so I’ve been cooking since I was three.
