






Capital Region BOCES
delivers more than 300 educational and administrative services to
its 23 component school districts and to the City School District of
Albany. Combined, these districts educate more than 81,000 students
in Albany, Schoharie, Schenectady and Saratoga counties. In
addition, Capital Region BOCES provides many services to
approximately 120 school districts outside the Capital Region.
Students of all ages and academic levels participate in programs
offered through Capital Region BOCES to prepare for today's
competitive, fast-paced world. Capital Region BOCES delivers
opportunities for students through enrichment programs, hands-on
experience with local businesses, technical and creative career
exploration opportunities, innovative programs for students with
special needs, and programs for adult learners.
Capital Region BOCES provides affordable management and
administrative services such as superintendent searches,
installation and maintenance of centralized computer and telephone
networks, risk management training, grant writing, development of
web sites and publications, substitute teacher coordination,
security systems and training, and storage and analysis of student
data.
Capital Region BOCES employs approximately 1,200 and operates with
the leadership of its central administration office and through its
four divisions: Career and Technical Education, Special Education,
School Support Services and the Northeastern Regional Information
Center (NERIC).
